This book is not actually a 'how to hack' handbook. Instead, is is more of a handbook for system administrators who want to stop hackers who are attacking their systems. That is a worthwhile goal, but it is very fast moving. this book is dated 2013. If I were a sys admin, I'd try to find something more recent.
