This copy plays well on my computer but not through my DVD player to the TV. It had a lot of distortion and stops.

Ex Machina it is not. Rather a poor imitation of everything that inspired it, I'm surprised Ridley Scott was one of its producers...I mean next time just spell it out to potential them the trouble. The so-called plot twist wasn't one for me, I figured that out like five or ten minutes in.

Honestly? Not sure what it was about. Got about 10 minutes in then jumped around looking for hope and found nothing. No sci-fi or special effects really. It's unwatchable.

Not for me.

Slow but interesting. I hated the ending

Nothing really new with this movie. Pretty predictable. Not a bad movie to watch if you want to kill time, but nothing special with this one.

Turns out to be as ominous and murderous as the DVD cover would lead you to believe even though the first half of the movie almost convinces you that if things go awry it will not be in the usual fashion with the usual victim(s). It wasn't til the end of the movie that I figured out what was really happening, but maybe I'm slow.

What started out as an interesting movie and sci-fi concept devolved into the predictable slasher genre of which I am not a fan. Big reveal at the end, not worth your time. My advice, don't waste 1.5 hours on this one.

The creepy folks in R&D decide to add a soul to their evil corporation's assassin clone cyborg.
What could go wrong?
At least she feels bad as she kills them all.
Luckily, evil corporate headquarters still has last year's model...

A great movie with a surprising ending. I really enjoyed it from the beginning to the end. I want to encourage those that read the reviews to ignore the low rating some gave I wonder if they watched the movie.

Do you know the cruelest thing you can do to someone you've locked in a room? Press their face to the window.
Morgan's not a "she." It's an "it."
-Oh, you're wrong about that, Miss Weathers. She's smart. She's smarter than any of us. But that's not what makes
Morgan special. There was joy in her heart before we shoved her back in that box.
She was exactly what we intended, a hybrid biological organism with the capacity for autonomous decision-making
and sophisticated emotional responses.
"Risk management consultant"?
-Pretty much how it sounds. Most corporations employ a certain amount of risk and I assess that risk against anticipated profit.
Of course. Anticipated profit.
We had anticipated that by developing a model that was more self-aware, more autonomous, and more human,
we could teach it to be the best of what we are.
