A good development of characters, and darker for YA fiction, but overall a very good piece. It was a little irritating to hear the same stereotypes about all the different genders, and frustrating to see the main characters life play out, but good overall.

A follow-up to A Conqueror's Shadow- should not have bothered. Did not add or build on the charactor(s), story nor the world of the first book. The first book was only mildly interesting this effort destroyed any of the credibility earned by A Conqueror's Shadow. The sexy cover notwithstanding.
