This book uses a very simple narrative to introduce a young child to one painting by Matisse.

There is a photograph of Matisse cutting paper in a wheel chair in the back of the book.

I loved this one -- the art work seems so possible! I used this book to inspire young children to do cut paper collage and we had a great time.
