As pointed out by sit_walk, the main attraction was the imagery of the road trip between a rural Spanish town and the French-Spain border, a plan-B route taken by 2 hit men, their mark and a damsel.

Comment part 1: Really good little film with talented actors and director. Compelling story. Well worth watching.
Okay, comment part 2: It's been a few days since I watched this film, and I have often thought about it since. It is far more involved than it seems at first, and has many thought provoking aspects. An example of how to make a good film.

Watch it for the scenery and cinematography as much as the story, although Terence Stamp and Tim Roth are absolutely compelling also. After "The Hit" try Tim Roth again in "Made in Britain".

I'm not scared.
- You've gotta be.
-'Cause everyone else is?
'Cause you are? You don't know -- Death -- Is just a stage in the journey. We're all gonna get there. No exceptions. Me and you and -- It's just a moment. We're here. Then we're not here. We're somewhere else... maybe. And it's as natural as breathing. Why should we be scared?
I read this in a magazine when John Lennon died.
"Death, be not proud...
"though some have called thee
mighty and dreadful...
"for thou art not so;
"for those whom thou think'st
thou dost overthrow...
"die not, poor Death...
nor yet canst thou kill me."
