This is a heartwarming story about a 9-year-old Finnish boy who during World War II was sent by his mother to a strange couples in Sweden. The boy felt abandoned and he was forced to live in a strange country that he did not even know how to speak their language.
The film is in Finnish and Swedish with English subtitles.

It is a beautiful Finnish movie by Klaus Harö about a little boy sent to Sweden during the WWII. Heartwarming story of love between adopted parents during WWII and a little boy and his real mother.

An absolute favorite! A truly unique look at the life of a "home-child"/ child of war, who is forced to life in a strange country with a strange family. A bit of a heart breaker as well.
