Baker & Taylor
The former vice-president details the factors contributing to the growing climate crisis, describes changes to the environment caused by global warming, and discusses the shift in environmental policy that is needed to avert disaster.

McMillan Palgrave

An Inconvenient Truth—Gore's groundbreaking, battle cry of a follow-up to the bestselling Earth in the Balance—is being published to tie in with a documentary film of the same name. Both the book and film were inspired by a series of multimedia presentations on global warming that Gore created and delivers to groups around the world. With this book, Gore, who is one of our environmental heroes—and a leading expert—brings together leading-edge research from top scientists around the world; photographs, charts, and other illustrations; and personal anecdotes and observations to document the fast pace and wide scope of global warming. He presents, with alarming clarity and conclusiveness—and with humor, too—that the fact of global warming is not in question and that its consequences for the world we live in will be disastrous if left unchecked. This riveting new book—written in an accessible, entertaining style—will open the eyes of even the most skeptical.

When I was young, I hated when my parents lied to me. Sooner or later I would know that the Easter Bunny or Santa Claus were just myths created to make children behave. But after reading this book, I realized that sometimes I don’t want to know the truth. Sometimes, the truth hurts. And nothing hurts as much as knowing that we must change our lifestyle. That we have to give up the luxury of long hot showers or the ability to drive everywhere. One of the messages in this book is that we must change the way in which we address the crisis of global warming. How we choose to deal with this problem will reflect how mature and responsible we are. Our actions have consequences, yet many individuals are still oblivious to the harm they inflict on Mother Nature.  After reading this book, I learned that people lie, but statistics do not.

In response to Snoids, just because the data was been "manipulated" does not classify it as a fiction novel. Global warming is real, and its is evident in our daily lives. So stop being such a selfish person, and save comments like those to yourself.

This book should be listed as fiction.
It appears that the data has been manipulated, according to several reports.

Read Climategate, by Sussman for an objective report on the topic.

After reading this, read Unstoppable Global Warming by Singer. Much, much better book.
