Clear, concise, precise, this is brilliant! One of the finest how-to manuals of hatha yoga asanas out there.

After a brief introduction to yoga, the work opens up into a beautifully illustrated asana manual. Modestly dressed models, are all business, and do not distract from their work as they visually demonstrate 77 hatha yoga asanas from start to finish in 650 photos!

The accompanying side margin is invaluable, providing quick reference to counterpose, drishti/focus, physical benefits, mental benefits, and contraindications.

Also included are 11 routines to bring the whole practice together.

One very useful feature surprisingly absent from many other works, is an index of asanas in english, sanskrit, as well as visual image of the pose.

One typo of note: pg. 205 and 206 describe and referenence a pose as Dandasana Staff pose but depict and intend to reference four limbed staff chaturanga dandasana.

This is an invaluable learning and teaching tool, I couldn’t be more pleased or recommend it more highly. I hope this serves in making your decision easier or perhaps narrow your focus.
