1/5 stars. Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones was released in 2002. It is a space opera directed by George Lucas. It is, in my opinion, the worst content ever produced by the Star Wars franchise (apart from the Star Wars Holiday Special). There are so many things that are wrong with this tragedy of a movie: terrible acting ,which is uncharacteristic from some usually great actors (might say something about the terrible writing), cartoony CGI that has aged terribly, all driven forward by a clunky and uninteresting storyline. There is no emotion to be found anywhere in this movie. The lightsaber battles are cold, choreographed dances with no heart, the romance is unbelievable and lacks chemistry, even the environments the characters are in look so fake and sanitized. Gone are the days of the romantic and epic stories from the original Star Wars trilogy trilogy, now everything is a cleanly manufactured product meant to sell merchandise to children, and please fanboys with a thrity thousand lightsaber battles. All of this “cleanliness” means there is no magic to this movie, a far cry from the Star Wars moments I know and love. One of the few things I can praise, as always, is John Williams score. He somehow manages to craft a magical and memorable score for every Star Wars movie.

If you thought that The Phantom Menace was bad, Attack of The Clones isn’t much better. The second installment of the prequels is almost as bad as the first. George Lucas The director of all three prequel movies doesn’t seem to learn from his mistakes. Again the movie was full of CGI but this time had a cheesy romance on the side to go along with it. I will say there is some great scenes in this film. There are light saber battles, droid battles and even some Yoda action which is awesome to watch, all with some amazing music in the background. Although it is a weaker film in the saga, it is worth watching to get the full story on Anakin Skywalker, and see some great action. 3/5 @TheCanadianHufflepuff of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library

This film is the second in the prequel trilogy and arguably just as weak as the first. The movie improves slightly on some of the weaker points, such as the lack of action, and the long exposition. There are multiple scenes that feature a ton of lightsaber combat, and it first shows the start of the clone wars between the republic clones, and CIS droids. The plot although is not written very well, and the main character is hard to feel empathetic towards because they write him as very whiny and overly creepy towards his love interest. The movie is an improvement on the previous, but still not the best watch. @ecozones of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library

Episode 2 is better than Episode 1 but not by much. Anakin is grown up and not listening to Obi-Wan. The darkness creeps over the chosen one...

More action, a lovely Noir investigation plot, and a lot of really bad romance scenes. Seeing a hundred jedi at once almost makes up for it. Almost.

From memory of the others I have seen in the series, this is by far the worst. There are many inconsistencies (or things that just don't make sense), the two most ridiculous being that the Jedi knights just nonchalantly jump out of flying cars hundreds of metres above the ground and voila there is another flying car that just swoops under to catch them, and second, that Yoda, a veritably ancient cripple, just drops his cane starts bouncing around like a ping-pong ball with a light sabre, and then when the fight is over, picks up his cane and totters along once again. The writing is awful: the plot development scenes do only plot development, and the character development scenes barely fulfill their purpose. Every utterance is stilted, even formulaic. The special effects are extraordinary.

Well its Star Wars, you can't go wrong with that, and it's still better than force awakens. But probably my least favorite of the prequel trilogy. The jedi fight at the end was aawwsomme. The arena was pretty cool, and Obi-Wan's adventure was fun, but, couldn't anakin fallen in love a different way. Weird. Not surprising he fell in love with Padme, for she is beautiful.
I still like this movie, and I will still watch this movie over and over until the end of my days, plus if you watch this, you can get to Revenge of the Sith, which, is, AWESOME!

I really liked this movie! My favorite character is Padmé in all the ones she's in. To bad she died in Revenge of the Sith.

My rating is to generous. Yoda fought like a bad*** , that's about the only good thing this movie has to offer. Horrible trilogy altogether.

Better than "Phantom Menace"(Episode 1), this movie has one bad thing. It is the way Padme Amidala (Natalie Portman) dressed. Those skin - tight and the back - exposing clothes were not needed. One confusing thing: why is Portman playing Padme in all the movies but Hayden Christiansen is playing Anakin for only two? Don't understand it at all. Great arena scenes.

My favorite in the star wars series by far! The technology is much better than the originals. I admit the romance was a bit much, but very well written. I don't understand why everyone says it's so bad. The movie was very well done and crucial to the whole series; not to mention it had a great plot. Best star wars movie in the series! :-)
