Blackwell North Amer
Dr. Alicia Clayton, a pediatrician who works with children who have AIDS, is full of secrets, and she has just inherited a house that holds another. For some reason, her repulsive half brother Thomas is willing to do anything to get their late father's house out of her hands. Haunted by painful memories, Alicia wants the house destroyed - but somehow everyone she enlists to help ends up mysteriously dead.
She's going to need Repairman Jack. Repairman Jack fixes situations for people. He has no last name or social security number, works only for cash, and has no qualms about using extreme force or risking his own safety to see that the job is done.
He soon discovers that the house holds the key to a secret that can change the world and that Thomas is simply a front for formidable forces determined to wrest that key from Alicia's hands at any cost. Jack must help Alicia discover the house's secret before Thomas's allies catch on and arrange a new mysterious and violent death for him.

Jack takes on a battle for broadcast electricty. a dream of tesla. It is paired with children with HIV and their unwanted legacy from their parents. It also deals with the sexual abuse of the main client Alica when she was a child. That threat is tied closely to her borther and Father whom abused her, but the father is directly responsibe for making broadcast electricty possible. Of course the Gia and Vicky make appearences as well.

Jack is a great character, but I did not like Alicia. Even so, the story was interesting though far-fetched. Some very good action scenes.

I really enjoyed this book. The Repairman Jack character is one of those "one in a million" that come along very, very seldom in fiction. Somehow the author gets away with a justice-seeker who has no past making him fresh and original (instead of the usual that you find in most other similar books). Definitely recommend the book, specially if you read them as a series
